Phidippus putnami - male

Phidippus putnami - Male
N40 03.312 W82 53.780, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA
July 8, 2008
Size: 9mm
Slightly different view, showing iridescent median band on abdomen and the unusual PME tufts.

Fifteen-image Helicon Focus stack. 360mm, f/16.

Poor thing appears to be in very poor shape. Extremely emaciated when found so I immediately gave him some water and he plumped back up right away. He also ate real well tonight, but those curved hairs bug me. I'll probably have another week, maybe two, before he dies on me. Sooo, any photo requests? :-)
