I found this guy on the street. Can anyone ID him and tell me the proper habitat to release him in?

Toad bug ?
I am not an expert , but could not keep from commenting on your very cool bug with the great angle shots . The Toad bugs that I have seen have all been small ... 1/4 " . Your bug is very impressive . Did you find it near water ? I am sure the experts will identify this guy soon , sincerely Beth

Your email made me laugh, because (I swear) a few hours earlier I was thinking to myself...."why did I put .75 inch? He was a lot smaller than that".

He was about .25 inches. I'll change the size.
