Not so sure.
This reminds me more of the European chafer, Rhizotrogus majalis. Best to get the real scoop from Philip Harpootlian or someone else more qualified than either of us, Stephen:-) LOL!

Scarab
Either one of these IDs, and it's still a Scarab, so you're in luck. There are many different kinds of Scarabs in North America, and this is one!
