This moth was sitting on a piece of metal in the backyard of a house just before dusk. Any ID?

I have been seeing something similar to your species in my yard for a month now that I think might be in the Genus Dichrorampha, but I can very little info for NA. Mine are only about 4-6 mm in length. see here

I think this belongs somewhere in Genus Dichrorampha, but there's nothing that seems to be an exact match on MPG's living moths section, and perhaps one close match with 3404 -- Dicrorampha simulana in Jim Vargo's pinned specimens, although the inverted chevron looks whitish, not the golden yellow in both your photos and Mardon's.
