Size: ~5mm
Brought home some seed heads of Tradescantia and this guy emerged. Took some more pictures today, hope they're better.

Looks like Oulema collaris (the picture appears to show a dark underside. Host plant fits as well.

Maybe the new images will be helpful.
Just realized that John Taft said he wants to see the underside of these so will have to hope we caught that, or more beetles will show up from the tray of Tradescantis seedheads. We'll capture that if we can. Thanks, Ron.
