mating flies - Gymnophora
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
June 11, 2005

Gymnophora, mating (MA)
Note the absence of conspicuous bristles, which quickly identifies the genus (the name "gymno-phora" means "naked Phora"!).
