Unidentified Spider on Shower Door - Mimetus
Rochester, Monroe County, New York, USA

This lovely little spider was on my shower door. I thought it was an orb weaver, but I looked through all the orb weavers on BugGuide.net without finding it (no small task). It has markings on its abdomen that resemble wings.

Pirate Spider
I'm jealous. I'd like to have some of these around to photograph. They aren't dangerous. See guide page.
