p.s. I can't to see the butterflies get killed too!! cycle of life. I'd hate for the spiders to starve.

 
Gender
Sorry, but I can't tell the sex of American Lady Butterflies. To me, their colors look too similar and I don't know of a specific trick to single out males from the females.

Crab spider
caught it. And she didn't just leave it hanging; she's still eating it.
