I found this beetle on my picnic table today. It is damaged, missing one limb and an antenna.

I also looked through hundred
I also looked through hundreds of stink bug images, but couldn't see anything exactly like this one. The problem as well is that I haven't seen any others of this type in the garden.

As best as we can tell
from staring at dozens of images online, these are 4th instars of the darker Podisus nymphs.

It's an immature true bug, aka nymph
Perhaps someone else here will know more.
