Steatoda grossa
I think this can be moved to the grossa page. It's a hungry (abdomen slightly shriveled) adult male of the species.

Male Steatoda
This is a male steatoda (cob web spider) it might be S. grossa. See info page here. I don't think the male is dangerous. However, the female's bite of this species (which looks quite similar to the black widow) can produce symptoms that are similar, but much less severe than those of a black widow bite. In some cases blistering may form at the site of the bite along with physical discomfort that lasts for several days. Luckily it's the males that wander around looking for females. The females stay hidden in dark corners, much like the black widow does, so you won't be seeing any of them crawling across your floor.
