I thought this was an ant and I looked away, then out of the corner of my eye I saw him flip to the back side of a leaf to hide from me. I thought..."I don't think an ant would do that".
I have no idea what he is. I think it's a nymph because of the stubbie wings.

Not an ID but
we do have some similar images in Alydidae (Broad-headed Bugs), but I may be wrong.

I looked at the Alydidae and that's right. Well done!

Small wings
would indicate this is a nymph. But I don't know what of. Those little spines sticking out just above the wings may be a clue for someone here. I'll be curious to see what it is myself. Hmmm... maybe one of the assassin bugs?
