Metallic Wood-boring Beetle - Agrilus

Metallic Wood-boring Beetle - Agrilus
Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 21, 2008
Size: ~ 1 cm
Seen crawling up a tree, occasionly flying short distances.

Agrilus sp.
This is a buprestid beetle in the genus Agrilus. Could even be the "two-lined chestnut borer," as the stripes are not always terribly obvious.
