Water Penny Beetle - Psephenus herricki - Female

Size: 5 mm
Ontario data point. This individual was found beneath a half-submerged rock in a creek. Many larvae were found by flipping rocks; a few males were observed on rocks above the waterline. Note the yellowish eggs, which this beetle had laid.
