Catarpillar - Epilachna borealis

Catarpillar - Epilachna borealis
Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
July 23, 2008
Size: about one eight inch
I discovered this yellow caterpillar eating the leaves of my gourd vines. The very tips of the spines are black, but everything else is totally yellow. These just arrived this morning, yesterday they were nowhere to be seen.

Maybe
the larva of a squash lady beetle.
