That's what it says on the Info page for Sarcophagidae - you've got it!

Flesh fly attractant
Hi Ron,
I have read up on this Family. It is interesting that I just brought an 8 week old puppy home 4 days ago. Keenan eats different dog food than my older dog Chloe. The write up on Sarcophagidae says that they are attracted to dung. I wonder if the more concentrated protein from the puppy faeces is attracting them.

We have had our dogs for 13 y
We have had our dogs for 13 years and we have never had flesh flies like we do this year so I don't think it's just the puppy food. It sure makes you try to keep up on the clean-up. Skeeters are really fierce this year, too.

Besides that a new puppy is so much fun!!

Don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised.
Enjoy that puppy!
