Typocerus velutinus - Banded Longhorn - Typocerus velutinus - male - female

Typocerus velutinus - Banded Longhorn - Typocerus velutinus - Male Female
Durham County, North Carolina, USA
June 29, 2008
Size: about 1/2 inch
I couldn't find an exact match after trolling through many BugGuide pictures.

Typocerus
There are three or four species of this genus in the eastern U.S. with a similar color pattern, but I'd bet on Typocerus velutinus (Newman), the most widespread and common of them.

Thanks.
Looks good. It's the only Typocerus species that matches in the Guide.
