Little Grasshopper ID Request - Tetrix

Little Grasshopper ID Request - Tetrix
Herring Run Park, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA
July 15, 2008
Cute little bugger.

Moved
Moved from Pygmy Grasshoppers.

I'll go as far as genus
It looks to be in the genus Tetrix, but I don't think I can get any closer than that with certainty unless I look at a lot more nymphs. It is very young. Best guess is T. ornata.

Nymph.
This is a nymph of a grouse locust (aka "pygmy grasshopper," Tetrigidae).
