Very small fly to ID if poss. - Platycheirus - Male
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
June 15, 2005
This was very small. I have a couple of other shots of it, but I thought this one gives the most characteristics. ID would be appreciated if possible. Thanks.

Yep. It is a male Platycheirus.
Good bet Eric.
Certainly a male from the big genus Platycheirus!
Greetings,

Syrphidae.
I'm betting this is some kind of syrphid fly.
