Elder Bug? - Hypoprepia fucosa

Elder Bug? - Hypoprepia fucosa
Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois, USA
July 23, 2008
Size: 1/2 inch
I am trying to identify this bug seen in my backyard. In searches thus far, box elder bugs commonly come up as the most likely candidate. However, it doesn't seem to have some of the distinguishing marks that elder bugs have, although the size and coloring are certainly similar. It also appears to have stripped antennae, which I haven't seen on elder bug images. Any assistance in identifying this guy is appreciated!

Painted Lichen moth
A well known mimic of other bugs - Hypoprepia fucosa.
