Leaffooted Bugs (Coreidae) mating 02 - Leptoglossus zonatus

Leaffooted Bugs (Coreidae) mating 02 - Leptoglossus zonatus
Tempe, AZ, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
July 4, 2008
Size: 35mm

Moved
Moved from True Bugs.

Looks hairy enough
to maybe be Narnia

I would have to go with...
Leptoglossus zonatus based on...

1) the large size of the tibial expansion with the 'white' spot positioned on the interior flange...

See here.

2) On John's other image the same day, when enlarged, I think I can see the white spots on the pronotum of the bug on the right side...

3) These bugs (and the other image from the same day) are on pomegranate. Three of John's other images are Leptoglossus zonatus on pomegranate.

4) Half of John's pictures appear to be Leptoglossus zonatus on pomegranate :)
