This is a common wasp in my backyard, but I don't know how to go about identifying it. Please help. Thanks.

Pseudodynerus quadrisectus.
Pretty sure, anyway. Definitely in the Eumeninae subfamily of the family Vespidae. Do wait for confirmation from others before moving to guide page. Great image!

ID correct
Note the largely black clypeus of males of this species which is very unusual for Eumeninae. Nice image!
