Heptageniid
This is a female imago of the family Heptageniidae. A clear view of the wing markings/venation might allow identification to genus (or further).

thanks for the ID help. unfortunately these are the only views I have...I had not at the time taken an interest in IDing so I was just taking a photo of a neat looking bug...now I know for next time!
