Morning Beauty - Megarhyssa

Morning Beauty - Megarhyssa
Kulpmont, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 30, 2008
Found this lovely, (Ichneumon? I presume), sitting on a cana lily leaf early this morning at work. One of the prettiest I've seen this season.

We would suggest male,
Megarhyssa, but we haven't figured out how to tell the males apart yet.

Thanks
I'm happy I got the Ichneumon part right:) Thanks for the quick ID.
