Chrysops fly? Had yellow marks on outer 1/2 of middle abdominal segment(s)

Exoprosopa spp.?
I took a photo of a similar-looking fly a couple of year ago (can't find it on my computer right now). It was a Progressive Bee Fly (Exoprosopa spp.). It looked like this one: black being the predominant color. I am completely new to this site and to insect ID, even though I've been photographing them for years! I'm in Rhode Island and saw it in RI.

Wait for an expert's response, I am VERY MUCH an amateur. Hope this help just the same!

ID
This is Xenox tigrinus, a bee fly (Bombyliidae) that parasitizes carpenter bees in the larval stage. They are big and showy like Exoprosopa, but are more closely related to the genus Anthrax.
