Tiger fly? - Zodion

Tiger fly? - Zodion
Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan, USA
August 1, 2008
Size: 4 mm
This little fly spent the better part of the afternoon visiting and probing this mountain mint. It had a curious curled-under abdomen. It looks vaguely like a tiger fly (Co*nesia) or perhaps a tachinid. Any help appreciated.
