Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan, USA

Size: 5 mm
This wasp(s) on my mountain mint the last two days looks very much like a miniature Bicyrtes quadrifasciatus, but is only a fraction of the size.

Sure looks it.
I have seen some pretty small ones here in PA.

Bicyrtes quadrifasciatus, male (MI)
Occasionally, one comes across dwarfed individuals. In your area I don't know what other species it could be.

Wow
That's amazing. Unfortunately, I'm 1800 miles from home for a week, but if it's still there when I return, I'll get some more photos and perhaps collect it.
