Paectes abrostoloides

Paectes abrostoloides
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA
August 3, 2006
Size: about 25 mm
Grandkids spotted this one on plant leaf. Any idea what the ID may be?

possibly a Nadata gibbosa
not 100% but, it very well could be a Nadata gibbosa, a White-dotted Prominent

Spots look wrong for that species
We would suggest instead Paectes abrostoloides, Wagner page 376. It even has those slipper like feet! Click on

Thanks again
Thanks again John and Jane, it seems you've identified yet another of my images. I appreciate it very much. Now I can tell my grandkids the kind of catapiller they found.
