Hunchback Bee fly - Lepidophora lutea
Hunchback Bee fly - Lepidophora lutea...but I am not an expert.

Lepidophora seconded
Shot one of these a few weeks ago that Andy identified as L. Lepidocera. This one looks a bit different so I don't know if it's the same species.

Bee fly
Lepidophora, I think, which would be a first for Texas. Stay tuned for an expert.

bee flies...
...seem to hover as they fly around. These (there are several) seem to go straight from flower to flower like a regular fly. I sure do want Andy to fill me in on just what this is. I have never seen them before, and I am real curious. Are they Good, Bad, or just Bugly?

[still stay tuned for an expert]
