Found this interesting beetle crawling on a wall below light. Any help as to ID would be appreciated.

Thank you, I believe your correct, it looks a lot like it. Had no idea it was a blood sucker.

Not a beetle
but an assassin bug! The bug enthusiasts should be able to tell you which one.

Thanks are due again to John and Jane. I followed through with the replies to the ID request and believe it is Eastern Bloodsucking Conenose - Triatoma sanguisuga.

 
It is, proably:-)
One other species looks identical, except that it has a hairy 'snout,' a feature not visible in most images of Triatoma. Moving to sanguisuga for now.

Thanks Eric for the clarification. I checked the original image which is at a much higher resolution than the one submitted. I could detect no hairs around the snout. The snout appears to have a ridge(?) running down the middle with two light colored markings to either side at the very end of the snout. Hope this helps.
