I shot a bunch of Pepsis last year and think I have same usual suspects this time. Have I got this ID right?

Probably.
If it was small, then yes, probably P. mexicana...The wingtips should be milky white, though, and I can't make them out in these images. Male specimen.

A photo of another individual indicated milky white wingtips, so we have a winner here: P. mexicana.
