Found at UV light near pond in wooded area of a flood plain. Another specimen very similar to one submitted
recently, at: BugGuide This is the wing position assumed when stored in the refrigerator. A more
accurate size measurement is provided. The body color of this one is yellowish.

Fascinating creatures; thanks for posting both.
I almost blew by this, thinking it a moth. Wonderful photography!

You might try observing these prior to chilling, in order to get some idea of normal postures. A friend of mine once posed a Medfly he found dead. Neither of us had seen a live one, and when I ran across one in the wild, I hardly recognized it.
