The characteristic Hemipteran beak is nicely visible here, tucked between the legs. It's used for piercing and sucking fluids---I think this species feeds on plants. I didn't realize how striking this individuals underside colors were until after viewing the photo. (It was moving too quickly in the field, and I was consumed with trying to get good focus and shoot quickly!)
