Long-necked Ground Beetle - Colliuris pensylvanica
Baiting Hollow, Suffolk County, New York, USA
August 6, 2008
Size 7 mm

Found walking around inside the house by one of the cats.
This little beauty was sadly injured and then died.

This appears to be the first BugGuide record for New York.
