Wow! Nice image....
Where do you find all of these bugs? :^)

Thanks Preston
I travel around northern New England for work, and take my lunch break time to walk around different trails, rivers, and other buggy places. I'm looking mostly for beetles, but will get any bug that looks good, by turning over rocks and logs, looking at what's coming in to flowers, and bugs that are perched on leaves and tree trunks. Sometimes I'll sweepnet, or use a fine mesh net for water insects, or sift through leaf litter. The more ways you use to find bugs, and by exploring different habitats and in different seasons, the variety can be almost endless.

I've always
admired your images. Thanks for the reply. I basically do the same thing where I work during lunch break. Much of the area that I used to go to was sprayed with herbicide this summer, but for some reason someone decided not to clear it out...yet. I am hopeful that things are left alone and regrowth occurs. It is surprising how much life can be found in a small area when the heavy hand of man is kept away!

Take care!

BTW-I love the New England area. I've been up that way quite a few times over the last 30 years or so. Love to retire there :^)
