found on some wood chips in the flower bed.

- might be of a Ten-lined June Beetle. Or possibly another in the same genus -Polyphylla. Antennae don't look as large as other Ten-lined images in the guide. Wait for someone more expert in beetles to comment. : )

 
i agree...
this does appear to be ten-lined. The small antennae make it female.
