species variation? - Polyphylla -

Martin's cove, Wyoming, USA

Are these both 10 lined june bugs showing a case of species variation, or are they two seperate species. They were found the same night and both came to a light.

Both probably Polyphylla crin

Both probably Polyphylla crinita, possibly P. arguta on left but it is more of a Great Basin species. Need a better view of the lamellae to know for sure.

I'm thinking two different sp

I'm thinking two different species as besides having the vittae broken on the left specimen there is no edging to the markings like on the other with complete vittae. I've collected more than two species at blacklight in other locales so the chances are good you did too.
