Trichiosoma triangulum Kirby
Second record for GSMNP. In my list of sawflies from the park (234 species), I had only one specimen of this.

Newfound Gap
I answered Mike by email, but then decided it would be better to include the additional info on this BugGuide page. This photo was taken at Newfound Gap on the North Carolina side of the line. (Thanks Mike for supplying the location name based on my lengthy description of the place!)
