Can anyone identify this bug

Lady beetle larva?
I'm pretty sure this is the larva of a twice-stabbed lady beetle. I know, they look nothing like the other kinds:-)

 
Rare
You don't see the twice-stabbed every day, nor apparently their larvae either. This is the first image of one I've seen.

Caterpillar
Somone will possibly know the species.

I'm not sure this is a caterpillar...it's awfully short. It also reminds me of this
