Unknown spider - Acanthepeira cherokee

Unknown spider - Acanthepeira cherokee
Medlock Area, Dekalb County, Georgia, USA
June 15, 2005
Size: ~15mm (3/4 inch)
Unable to identify this spider, could it be some type of orb weaver?

Moved

I've moved this from stellata
I've moved this from stellata, which I'm sure it isn't because of the low abdominal humps. It could possibly be marion because of the stated size, but, if the size were correct, I'd think an adult marion would be much more "hairy" than this individual. Also, the shape of the humps don't look to me to be quite right for marion, but do look OK for cherokee. Wish we had a view of the scape for this one.
