Mosquito type bug? - Psorophora ciliata - female

Mosquito type bug? - Psorophora ciliata - Female
Iowa, USA
I was visiting family in Iowa and was indoors, felt a pinch on my foot and saw this bug flying away. The spot where it bit me itched of course like a regular bug bite, but i couldn't figure out what kind of bug this was? It landed on a wall and was making its 2 back legs one at a time go outward like in the picture. Was it stretching or something?

Moved
Moved from Psorophora.

I took the liberty of cropping...
your picture. It allows the insect to fill more of the frame by cutting out the extra areas. Please let me know if you would rather have your original image back and I will replace it.

...
It is Psorophora ciliata. The median golden stripe on the scutum is characteristic.

Not an expert but....
It looks like it might be an Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus) here but I could be wrong.

Looks like it could be that,
Looks like it could be that, thanks.

Psorophora more likely.
This reminds me very much of the genus Psorophora, some of which can be disturbingly large for mosquitoes:-)
