Long-horned beetle - Typocerus octonotatus

Long-horned beetle - Typocerus octonotatus
Northwest, Minnesota, USA
August 1, 2008
Any more specifics would be welcomed.

May I suggest to look at
the type of Typocerus arapahoe, whose elytral pattern seems a bit closer. It may still be another species, or even genus. Caveat: I'm not a coleopterist, just trying my luck.

Definitely Typocerus
Seems to be T. octonotatus (Haldeman (=T. arapahoe Casey)

Thanks for that, Mike -
Sorry, I didn't notice the current combination given on the Smithsonian page. We already have that at bugguide: T. octonotatus.

Something close to
Typocerus zebra, but we can't be sure because of the angle. One of the Cerambycid experts can probably make the ID for you.

Can't ID
I can't ID this cerambycid, but it's a beautiful photo.

Thanks
It's always nice to get a compliment.
