Moth - Xylophanes tersa

Moth - Xylophanes tersa
Fayette, Fayette County, Alabama, USA
August 14, 2008
Size: about 1" - 11/2" body
Found this moth on my door going into my laundry room which is out in the carport, it was night around 11pm but the car port and laundry room light was on. He never left the door, I even left it open so he wouldnt get trapped. Next time I saw him he had passed away on the car port floor. Very interesting and beautiful markings.
