intergrade Admiral - Limenitis arthemis

intergrade Admiral - Limenitis arthemis
Albany, New Hampshire, USA
June 21, 2005

Another great shot, Tom
An Intergrade. This one had a mixed parenthood. The white band is typical White Admiral (arthemis arthemis), the blue flush on the HW on both sides of the white band is a Red-Spotted Purple ( L.a. astyanax) feature. The red spots on the FW are also a R-S P feature.
I wonder if we should make a separate page for intergrades? Well, I went along and did it!
Moved to that page
