Harpalus Skipper?
I found a similar one in Peterson's Field Guide to Western Butterflies that is Hesperia comma harpalus. Formerly known as the Idaho Skipper, Hesperia idaho.

Interesting Skipper
Scott (1) lists H. c. harpalus for the Great Basin. See what you can find for H. c. manitoba which I think would be included in Shoshone and is described as "...greenish-brown on the unh..." etc. Taxonomy and therefore distribution may have changed. Good to see you haven't lost hope here in skipper wilderness.

You're right
that one looks close, but now so does H. c. oregonia. What exactly is the Pacific slope?

Pacific Slope
Pacific slope usually refers to the western side of the Cascade, Coastal, and I think Sierra Nevada mountain ranges but I've seen it applied to S. American ranges too. Its a biologically distinct entity because of stark precipitation patterns. I don't think it should apply to the Rocky Mountains.
