I strongly suspect
an alderfly, Sialis. Was this leaf overhanging water, by any chance?

These fishfly eggs are also similar:

I've moved your image to Megaloptera for now; as far as I know alderfly and fishfly would be the only options for your eggs. Knowing the size might help.
