Captive fuscatus - Polistes fuscatus - female

Captive fuscatus - Polistes fuscatus - Female
Pennsylvania, USA
found this P. fuscatus with a broken wing wandering around oh i would say about mid July and decided to keep her. to my surprise, she turned out to be a queen and she layed eggs. since she got such an unnaturally late start (and is just getting her first caps now) i am going to keep the nest all through the winter to see if i can release the nest in the spring.
