Evergreen Bagworm Moth - Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis

Evergreen Bagworm Moth - Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis
Bear, New Castle County, Delaware, USA
August 9, 2008
Size: ~ 30 mm, bag ~ 42 mm
Found this bag among several bags hanging on Old Gold Juniper (Juniper chinensis 'Old Gold').

Thanks Everyone!
Now that leaves are almost gone, I see several of these at the top of my 25-30' Silver Maples and on smaller Japanese Red Maples. They like a variety of trees and not just evergreen.

Not picky at all
They are recorded on over 30 families of plants.
