Coccinellid Larva - Cycloneda sanguinea

Coccinellid Larva - Cycloneda sanguinea
Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California, USA
August 17, 2008
Size: ~ 8 mm
Several of these lady beetle larvae were found on an Oleander shrub, possibly feeding on Aphis nerii (photographed and ID'd earlier)... Can anyone ID the genus or species?

Moved

suspect Cycloneda or Olla...
I'll need some more time w/ the Cycloneda larval key(1) and some research into Olla larvae, but pretty sure it's one of those genera.

Thanks -
FYI, I've found lots of Cycloneda (and other coccinellids) locally, but have not found an Olla sp. yet...

Cycloneda sanguinea
Structure matches Cycloneda, and with the strongly tapered abdomen and uniformly orange markings, this is C. sanguinea.

A steady diet of orange Aphis nerii might have made the typically white/yellow markings of C. p_olita all orange, but the body of that species isn't strongly tapered like this.

Moved
Moved from Ladybird Beetles.

Not much hope
See the collection of unidentified baby ladybugs; and I haven't added any of the recent submissions. Maybe someday we'll get an expert.

Thanks, Beatriz -
gives me motivation for rearing some of these guys to adulthood, if possible...
