Colorful spider in Florida - Argiope aurantia
Melbourne, FL, Brevard County, Florida, USA
August 16, 2008
Size: ~3 inches long inc. legs
Found this guy in our backyard hanging around on the jasmine bush. Lots of bugs in Florida, but I've never seen such a pretty spider.

Port St. Lucie
