Bee - Colletes simulans - Female
Dubuque State Forest, Plainfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
August 22, 2008
Size: 11 mm (approx.)
Beside a pond

Colletes simulans armatus
female

Thank you
There is no subspecies page for armatus so I left it on the species page. There is an empty subspecies page for nevadensis.

Is this species rare? I see it must be distributed continent-wide but we have no images east of California.
